Anti Aging Skin Care Tips
Aging is a natural process and there is nothing that can stop it from happening. I have never been overly concerned with this process, but I have a sister who is 60 and she thinks she is a teenager, she fights it tooth and nail, but the fact is the natural defense of our skin and the whole body weakens as we get older, but we can do a few things, like eating a lot of fruits, avoiding stress, drinking a lot of water and using natural therapies to help delay the aging process.
Everyone wants to hide their age and most are using some form of anti aging skin care procedures and products. However it will not be achieved by any magic potion at this time. It is all about discipline and being proactive and the best time to start is when you are young. We would all like to delay the aging process and a lot of studies have been done that state declining hormone levels play a key part in the aging process.
Who knows maybe they will come up with something and I’m sure they will in the future to dramatically help the aging process slow down. It seems only fair that it would be administered to old people so they can enjoy their retirement years and not feel useless and a burden to someone else. They work hard all their lives taking care of family and community and then when they retire they are too old to enjoy it. It really would be cool if it was like the old Mork and Mindy show, with the reverse aging process.
Be proactive and start your anti aging skin care now. Healthy eating habits of course is high on the list. We need a balanced diet to maintain the proper metabolism. Avoid oily and fatty food it lacks nutrients and contributes to obesity and diseases and helps increase the aging process. The best source of fiber is raw fruits and vegetables and very good for our body.
Stress disturbs the body metabolism and accelerates the aging process. Sleep, exercise and a relaxing bath, are all good ways of beating stress and aroma therapy is soothing. Also drink lots of water it helps to flush the toxins from the body, hence keeping it clean and making it less prone to disease. Around 8 glasses of water (per day) is recommended by all doctors.
Regular exercise is great for toning your muscles and it helps to clean the skin by flushing out toxins in the form of sweat. Exercise should be followed by a warm shower in order to completely remove the toxins and protect your skin against UV radiation ; UV rays are known to speed up the aging process. So, a good sunscreen lotion should be a part of your anti aging skin care routine.
Don’t overuse skin care products and avoid strong, chemical based products on your skin. Remember excessive and harsh applications can be harmful. Natural skin care products are a good option. Use of organic skin care products (home made or commercial) can be a very effective anti aging skin care measure.
People use a lot of vitamin C skin care products and if you do be very careful because they tend to oxidize very quickly and can be harmful to your skin. Make sure you store them properly and watch out if they turn a yellowish brown color, if it does it has oxidized and it is no longer suitable to use.
Skin disorders can lead to permanent skin damage so don’t ignore them. You can try over the counter medication, but if it doesn’t help you should seek advice from your doctor. If it’s extremely bad he may refer you to a dermatologist.
Smoking of course we all know is very bad for our skin and alcohol takes the potassium out of the system . Of course these two can do a lot more damage than just age our skin, but I wont go in to all that. You definitely need plenty of rest and cut down on caffeine. As you can see there are many things we can do to help slow down the aging process. It just depends on you.
